Clash Royale Card Evolution

Card Evolution is a new feature in Clash Royale directly affecting gameplay! Evolve your cards to make them more OP.

Quick summary

A few of the existing cards can be evolved using Shards. There's a dedicated slot in your deck, if you place an evolved card there, you're able to play a stronger version of the card every Xth time.
Currently, these cards can be evolved: Royal Giant, Firecracker, Skeletons, Barbarians. With the plan to release one evolution per season.
First evolution deck slot unlocks at King Level 7. There will be more slots in the future.
To unlock evolution, you need Shards for each card. You get them in Pass Royale, Season Shop, Challenges, The Shop, Path of Legends.
The evolution is the same card, only stronger and with additional effects.

Royal Giant

Royal Giant evolution

Every other RG played will be evolved.
It has more HP, does damage and pushes back units around it when shooting.
One RG the back, quick cycle, evolution at the bridge... RIP.
Firecracker

Firecracker evolution

You need to play it twice, then every third will be evolved.
More HP, more recoil after firing, and a Poison-like effect with its projectiles.
As if Firecracker was not annoying enough, now with even more recoil...
Skeletons

Skeletons evolution

Cheap cost means they need to be played 3 times before the evolution is deployed.
Same stats, but 4 instead of 3. And with each hit, they multiply to the maximum of 6.
A very cheap Skeleton Army. Let's see how quickly SC nerfs it.
Barbarians

Barbarians evolution

Same as RG, every other card played will be evolved.
More HP, they get Angry with each attack. Something like Rage, but not that extreme.
Even evolved, Barbs are still ... well, Barbs.
